Post-Romantic/Victorian Era Music

Following is a partial list of songs from the Post-Romantic Era (1850-1915), a PASSION of mine.

This music is lyrical, lilting and lovely, about love, family, home, and nature. Think "parlour music" from England and America, probably sung on stage without a sound system in a beautiful old theatre, or in a corner of a formal tea parlour.... I sing these songs with classical style finger picked guitar.

You can hear three of these songs on this page (below the list):  The Brook, The Silent Moon is Beaming and Fairy Visions, also a sample of Hard Times Come Again No More and I Love My Love.  I'm so happy that some of these songs are still popular today, over 100 years in circulation!  (See if you recognize any.)
